Overall had thoroughly enjoyable stay for my family visit. The staff was welcoming and pleasant, kept everything exceptionally clean and perfectly fine. The breakfast was sensational, it offered cereal, toast and scrambled eggs.
The staff was not very friendly.

Rooms were modern, clean and well presented. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Got best available rate on checkout which was lower than expected so even better value.
Disappointed not to have known in advance that hotel was in the midde of refurbishment works, only finding out on check in and then having a long circuitous walk to room because of it. 'Temporary' (?) breakfast room very bland and business like.

The room heating did not appear to be functioning. I checked the wall switch and the thermostats. Immediately on entry it was obvious that the room was cold. We arrived quite late and decided to just go to bed. We mentioned the problem when paying our bill.
